I took my daughter to see NSync at Gillette Stadium several years back. I took her because at the time NSync was what the Beatles were to me when I was her age. I took her because I wanted to share the moment with her. I took her because I loved her. I did not take her because I liked NSync.
I enjoyed watching her scream...just for the sake of screaming. It was pure glitz or as much glitz as you can manufacture in a football stadium. I am so not into huge shows anymore---paying major bucks to sit in a huge place and watch the show on a Jumbotron.
The drive to the stadium was a hoot. Bumper to bumper traffic with all kinds of pre-teen girls hanging out of their parents' cars screaming at each other and waving their "I love you Justin" posters.
My daughter "graduated" from NSyc to alternative rock shows which I also went to with her---Thirty Seconds to Mars, Bright Eyes, Jet, etc. and we attended two Warped Tour shows together.
JT just ain't my thing but diversity makes the world go round, eh, Dennis?
